After a weekend of complete over-indulgence, we decided the best way to wrap up our visit was with a stop at the food trucks - Soma StrEATfoodpark. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite places in my neighborhood. I just love having this many options for dinner!
It took mere seconds for me to decide...
Their truck was calling out to me...
My Dad's side of the family is Polish and I think that some Eastern European foods are some of the best comfort foods around. Really...what is better than a pierogi? So, obviously, I had to try their version and they were amazing!
"dumplings stuffed with potato and goat cheese filling, served with
caraway sour cream, pepper relish, and fried onion"
Then, I had to give their Schnitzelwich a try...
"chicken schnitzel with caraway honey, horseradish aioli, apple-cabbage
slaw & optional chopped liver schmear on an Acme roll"
I skipped the liver, so perhaps didn't have the full experience, but wow, this was yummy! I don't even want to know the calorie count of this deliciousness...but does it even matter anyways? This kind of food nourishes the soul! I'll just eat salad tomorrow!
If ever you see this truck parked at an event around the city, you simply must try it! Check out their website to see their story www.oldworldfoodtruck.com
